The Men's Turkey Trot took place on Saturday with an 8.45 shotgun start. It was a good turnout with 40 players taking part. The format was foursomes. The winners were past captain, Nigel Taylor, and current Chairman of Greens, Andy Veitch, with 37 stableford points. The current gents Captain, David Swale, and former Club Treasurer, Chris Adams, were second with 35 points. The booby prize of some stuffing was again kindly donated by Peter Harden and was won by Jonathan Foster and John Adams and they scored just one or two less than the winners! Sadly no photos to share with you on this occasion.
The ladies competition on Thursday was called off because the greens were flooded. The course remained open but on nine temporary greens.
Here is a snap sent in by Sue Bryant of the slam prize winners at the Christmas Invitation Bridge Drive last Monday. Sue Holden was one of the organisers, as was Barbara Grant, who was sadly not quite up to playing.
And here's another photo. It is of course club stalwarts John Acratopulo and Mike Hauser enjoying themselves at a recent TNC.
